The Benson University Center
is a uniquely designed 100,000 square foot facility, opened in 1990,
that is located at the center of the WFU Reynolda Campus in Winston-Salem, NC. Within the five levels
of the Benson Center are located the state-of-the-art 300-seat Pugh Auditorium, ample multi-purpose meeting
room space (e.g., for poster sessions, lunches, and breaks), a tavern/coffeehouse, and a food court.
The Benson Center offers a wireless Internet environment throughout the building.

Meeting participants planning to fly into the Winston-Salem area should arrange flights into Piedmont Triad International Airport (GSO), which is served by most major domestic carriers and is located approximately 20 minutes' driving time east of Winston-Salem, on Interstate 40. Driving directions from GSO are available on the Meeting website. Airport shuttle service to/from Winston-Salem can be arranged through PTI Airport Transportation, and all major rental car agencies serve the PTI Airport as well.
Meeting participants staying at the Courtyard and Sundance hotels are strongly encouraged to take
advantage of the shuttle service that will run from each location to the Benson Center.
For those who must drive, driving directions to the WFU Reynolda Campus are available on the Meeting website. Visitor parking (limited to 47 spaces on a first-come first-serve basis in "Visitor Parking", but with over 1,000 spaces in Q (across from Wait Chapel) and W2 (next to Townhouse Apartments) lots is available, although Summer school will be in session along with other campus activities. Participants staying in the Polo Residence Hall will be able to park their vehicles at no charge in designated parking areas (R1-R3) and can enjoy a leisurely five-minute walk to the Benson Center Meeting site.
Registration for the 36th Mid-Atlantic Macromolecular Crystallography Meeting will be held in the Lobby on Level 3 of the Benson Center from 1:30-3:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 1. The Keynote session will begin at 4:00 p.m.
In addition to the Continental Breakfasts and Lunch Buffets (and Breaks) that will be provided for Meeting participants in the Benson Center, Level 2 of the facility also includes the Food Court and Shorty's, the campus tavern/coffeehouse. Summer school hours will apply, however.
