FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q. When will I get my oligos?
A. The turnaround time on your oligos is normally 24-48 hours for primers ending in A, G, or T. Oligos ending with a "C" may take slightly longer. If you requested "special oligos," and/or RPC purification, you can also expect around two to three days, possibly longer, if special columns or phosphoramidites have to be ordered.
Q. My oligo looks like an oily spot in the bottom of my tube.
A. Not all oligos dry the same and will vary according to their composition. If the oligo solution freezes while lyophilizing in the Speed-Vac, it will dry as a fine powder. If the primer does not freeze while drying, it can dry as a clear to yellowish film coating the bottom and sides. This will not affect its performance, but take care that you vortex it well to get it into solution.
Q. What kind of purification do you do?
A. Currently, we only desalt machine grade oligos and do reverse phase purification when requested.
