Anthrax Symposium Planned at Graylyn on May 26

The Wake Forest University Center for Structural Biology, with major support from the Southeast Regional Center of Excellence in Biodefense and Emerging Infections (SERCEB), North Carolina Biotechnology Center's satellite office located in the Piedmont Triad Research Park, and Wake Forest University Health Sciences, will host a one-day Symposium, "Anthrax: The Biotechnology of Biodefense."

The Symposium, to be held at Graylyn International Conference Center ( on May 26, will be attended by leading scientists, researchers, university faculty, and graduate students. Six of the nation's leading Anthrax authorities from academic, private, and Federal research sectors will speak. The keynote address will be given by Dr. Arthur M. Friedlander, Senior Scientist/Science Advisor, U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases, who is one of the world's leading authorities on Anthrax and the development of new Anthrax vaccines.
